Dental or oral hygiene has considerably increased over the years, but the battle is not far from over. Survey shows that the national dental hygiene has gone upto 55% (in US), but this pattern is not seen in other countries or poor nations. The dental hygiene is still neglected in most of the third world countries and poor people suffer from dental decay. Globally this percentage has not been so impressive but the changes are gradually making their way. Governments across the world are trying to push the rate of oral hygiene up but much needs to be done to bring awareness among people.
